SWUPL President Scholarship for International Students
The Southwest University of Political Science and Law (SWUPL) President Scholarship offers first- and second-class cash awards to international students in pre-university, bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD programmes. Amounts range from RMB 8,000 to RMB 35,000 per year by level and class. Applications close on 15 October annually, and recipients undergo assessment every November.

Overview
The SWUPL International Students President Scholarship supports international students enrolled in pre-university programmes (‘1+4’, ‘1+2’/‘1+3’), bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD programmes at Southwest University of Political Science and Law.
Coverage
Pre-university: first class RMB 10,000/year; second class RMB 8,000/year. Bachelor’s: first class RMB 25,000/year; second class RMB 10,000/year. Master’s: first class RMB 30,000/year; second class RMB 15,000/year. PhD: first class RMB 35,000/year; second class RMB 20,000/year. Annual assessment is held every November under SWUPL regulations.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens applying to or currently studying in a degree or pre-university programme at SWUPL. They must not hold any other scholarship. Programme length must be within standard duration: 1 year for pre-university; 4 years for undergraduate; 2–3 years for graduate; 3 years for doctoral. Applicants must abide by Chinese laws and SWUPL rules, maintain well-rounded academic performance, and possess basic Chinese language skills. Qualifications: high school diploma for bachelor’s/‘1+4’; undergraduate diploma for master’s/‘1+2’/‘1+3’; postgraduate diploma for PhD.

Deadline: 15 October each year. Submit the application form, diploma, HSK certificate, and other relevant supporting documents by post or email to the International Cooperation and Exchange Office. Application forms are available at http://zs.swupl.edu.cn.
