Tianjin University International Student Scholarship
The Tianjin University International Student Scholarship supports outstanding international students pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degrees. It offers full awards (tuition plus living allowance) or partial awards (tuition only). Applicants must be non-PRC citizens in good health, aged under 35 (bachelor’s), 40 (master’s), or 45 (PhD). The application deadline is 30 June each year.

Overview
The scholarship supports excellent international students enrolling in bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD programmes at Tianjin University. Bachelor’s programmes include Chinese Language and selected English-taught science programmes; many English-taught master’s and PhD fields are available.
Coverage
Full Scholarship covers full tuition fees and a living allowance. Partial Scholarship covers full tuition fees only.
Eligibility
Applicants must be citizens of a country other than the PRC and in good health. Bachelor’s applicants must hold a high school diploma and be aged over 18 and under 35. Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 40. PhD applicants must hold a master’s degree and be under 45.
Application
Deadline is 30 June each year. Applicants must submit both the Tianjin University study application and scholarship application forms, and mail two bound sets (original and copy) to the International Admissions Office. Successful candidates are selected after university review and publicly announced.

Completed application forms with photo; notarised highest diploma (or pre-graduation certificate); academic transcripts; passport photocopy; proof of English proficiency (TOEFL 80, IELTS 6.0, or successful TJU interview) for English-taught programmes; non-criminal record certificate; study or research plan (≥800 words) and two professor recommendation letters for master’s and PhD applicants.
