Wenzhou University Presidential Scholarship-First Class (hereinafter Scholarship I)

Wenzhou University Presidential Scholarship–First Class (Scholarship I) is a merit-based tuition reduction award for newly admitted international bachelor’s and master’s students. It offers three tiers: 70%, 40%, or 20% of one year’s tuition fee. Applicants must already hold admission to Wenzhou University for the current academic year and submit materials by 10 May.

Wenzhou University Presidential Scholarship–First Class (Scholarship I) is awarded to newly admitted international students enrolling in bachelor’s or master’s degree programmes at Wenzhou University in the current academic year.

Coverage

1st Prize: 70% of one year’s tuition fee. 2nd Prize: 40% of one year’s tuition fee. 3rd Prize: 20% of one year’s tuition fee. Awards apply only to the first year of study and are non-renewable.

Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health, abide by Chinese laws and university regulations, and demonstrate good conduct and friendly attitudes toward China. Bachelor’s applicants must hold a high school diploma and normally be aged 25 or under. Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and normally be aged 40 or under. Academic excellence and strong motivation are required.

Application

Applicants must already be admitted to Wenzhou University for the current academic year. Completed application materials must be submitted to the International Students Office by 10 May each year.

Wenzhou University Enrollment Scholarship for International Students of Degree Programs (Type I) Application Form (in Chinese or English); notarised latest academic diploma or official enrolment certificate with certified translations if needed; official academic transcript with certified translations if needed; personal statement (covering education/work history, study goals, research interests, and career plans); two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors (for master’s applicants) or one letter from a high school principal (for bachelor’s applicants); design portfolio if applying to design programmes; photocopy of health report; copies of other merit certificates.
