Wenzhou University offers Category I Presidential Scholarships for newly admitted foreign students enrolling in fully English-taught undergraduate or master's programs. The Category I (Class A) Presidential Scholarship is awarded to newly admitted foreign students entering fully English-taught undergraduate or master's programs at Wenzhou University.
Coverage/Benefits
The scholarship covers full tuition and accommodation fees for the first academic year. From the second year onward, continuation depends on annual evaluation of academic performance, conduct, and competencies. It does not cover airfare, health insurance, living allowance, or settlement allowance.
Eligibility
Applicants must be foreign nationals in good health; abide by Chinese laws and university regulations; have excellent academic performance; and be newly admitted freshmen. Undergraduate applicants are generally no older than 25; master's applicants, no older than 40.

Applications must be submitted to the International Students Office before 10 May each year.
Documents
Required documents include the completed Category A Scholarship Application Form (in Chinese or English); notarised highest academic qualification certificate (or enrolment certificate if currently studying); official academic transcripts with notarised Chinese or English translations; personal application statement; two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors; health certificate (photocopy, with notarised translation if non-Chinese/English); and other supporting materials (with notarised translations if non-Chinese/English). Design program applicants must also submit original works.
