The Yunnan University of Finance and Economics MBA Scholarship under ‘the Belt and Road’ is funded by the university and targets international students from South and Southeast Asia. It supports full-time MBA studies taught primarily in Chinese, with a duration of three years.

Overview

The scholarship is open to non-Chinese citizens aged 18–45, in good health, and willing to abide by Chinese law and university regulations. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree recognised by China’s Ministry of Education (foreign degrees require notarised certification) and an HSK Level 4 certificate.

Coverage

Full scholarship covers tuition (RMB 25,000/year), accommodation (RMB 4,800/year), living allowance (RMB 10,800/year), medical insurance (RMB 800/year), and registration fee (RMB 400), totalling RMB 41,400/year (RMB 124,600 over three years). Half-scholarship covers tuition only (RMB 25,000/year; RMB 75,000 total).

Application

Applicants must submit documents to the International Student Education and Administration Office or MBA Educational Institute at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. Required materials include: bachelor’s degree certificate (Chinese or notarised foreign); original and photocopy of passport; HSK Level 4 certificate and photocopy; and 10 passport-sized photos (4 cm × 6 cm). Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the university.
