Category A provides a one-time grant of 30,000 RMB for postgraduate students; Category B provides 20,000 RMB for undergraduates; Category C provides 6,000 RMB for long-term advanced students already studying in Zhejiang universities. Funds cover registration fee, tuition fee, basic textbook fee, accommodation fee, and major illness and accident insurance.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health and behaviour, with no violations of Chinese law or school discipline. Undergraduate applicants must be under 30 years old and hold a senior secondary school qualification equivalent to China’s. Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35; doctoral applicants must hold a master’s degree and be under 40. All must demonstrate appropriate Chinese language proficiency (e.g., HSK certificate), though English-taught majors may have relaxed requirements. Applicants must not hold another Chinese government scholarship concurrently.
Application
Scholarship applications are evaluated once annually, with submissions generally accepted from January to May each year.

Required documents include the application form, notarised academic qualifications and transcripts (with Chinese or English translations if needed), passport copy, foreigner’s physical examination record, and letters of recommendation (for master’s and doctoral applicants).
