Zhejiang Institute of Science and Technology Outstanding Freshman Scholarship for Foreign Students

Overview

This scholarship is for newly admitted foreign students pursuing undergraduate, master's, or advanced Chinese language studies at Zhejiang Institute of Science and Technology. Applicants must be in good health.

Coverage/Benefits

First prize: 100% of annual tuition fee; second prize: 70% of annual tuition fee; third prize: 50% of annual tuition fee. Award quotas are 2%, 4%, and 6% of new students respectively.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet academic performance criteria and language requirements: HSK level 6 or above for Chinese-medium programmes; IELTS 5.5+, TOEFL 80+, GRE 1400+, PET Level 3+, or a passing score on the university’s English entrance test for English-medium programmes. Chinese language advanced students must enrol for one year or more.

Application

For autumn admission, applications are due by May 30; for spring admission, by December 10. Recipients are evaluated at the end of the first semester; failure to pass results in loss of second-semester funding.

Documents

Required documents include the scholarship application form, notarised highest academic qualification certificate and transcripts, letter of recommendation from graduating institution, health certificate, HSK 6+ certificate (for Chinese-medium), or English proficiency certificate (IELTS 5.5+, TOEFL 80+, etc.) for English-medium programmes.
