Required documents include: passport photocopy; notarized highest education certificate (with notarized Chinese or English translation if not in those languages); notarized academic transcripts; two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English; health certificate; language proficiency certificate (HSK 5 for Chinese-medium; IELTS 5.5+, TOEFL 80+, GRE 1400+, PET Level 3+, or ZIST English test certificate for English-medium); and a study program.
