Zhejiang Normal University Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship Program

Zhejiang Normal University awards the Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship to international students for bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, or long-term general scholar study. It is funded by the Zhejiang Provincial Government and administered by the university. Awards are offered in three classes: RMB 30,000, RMB 20,000, or RMB 6,000 per person per year. Applicants must be foreign nationals, meet age and academic requirements, satisfy language proficiency rules, and not hold other Chinese government scholarships.

Overview

The Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship at Zhejiang Normal University supports foreign nationals enrolled in or applying for full-time bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, or long-term general scholar programmes in Zhejiang Province.

Coverage

Eligibility

Applicants must be foreign nationals in good health and legal standing. Undergraduate applicants must be under 30 with a high-school diploma; postgraduate applicants under 35 with a bachelor’s degree and two recommendations from professors or associate professors; doctoral applicants under 40 with a master’s degree and two such recommendations. Chinese-taught programmes require HSK or equivalent Chinese proficiency; English-taught programmes require IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, or equivalent English certification. Recipients may not hold any other Chinese government scholarship.

Applications are submitted online via the Zhejiang Normal University International Students Office portal at http://iso.zjnu.edu.cn/StuApplication/Login.

  • Examination Form completed in English (Download at http://iso.zjnu.edu.cn/site/admission/show-5012.html ).
  • The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner
  • Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of
  • the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed
  • photograph of the applicants are invalid.
  • c. Notarized highest education diplomas attained, proof of study and
  • transcripts (need to be translated into Chinese or English, and confirmation of
  • your former school or local department).
  • d. Studying plans and goals.
  • e. Two letters of recommendation from your teachers
