Overview

The scholarship is awarded by the Zhejiang Provincial Government and administered by Zhejiang University of Science and Technology for international students studying at the university.

Coverage/Benefits

Category A provides 30,000 RMB for master’s and doctoral students; Category B provides 20,000 RMB for undergraduates; Category C provides 6,000 RMB for long-term advanced students (≥1 semester).

Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health and behaviour, with no violations of Chinese law or school discipline. Undergraduate applicants must be under 30 years old and hold a senior secondary school qualification equivalent to China’s. Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35; doctoral applicants must hold a master’s degree and be under 40. All must provide evidence of Chinese language proficiency (e.g., HSK 5), unless enrolled in an English-taught major or Chinese language programme.

Application

Applications must be submitted annually by 31 May.

Documents

Required documents include the application form, passport copy, notarised academic qualifications and transcripts (with Chinese or English translations if needed), letters of recommendation (for master’s, doctoral, and advanced trainees), foreigner’s physical examination record (valid within 6 months), and HSK or English proficiency certificate.
