Eligibility

Language requirements include HSK 8, IELTS, or TOEFL.

Application

Applicants must first contact and secure acceptance from a relevant Zhejiang University professor. Then they must complete the online application via the College of International Education’s system (http://iczu.zju.edu.cn) and submit paper materials by mail to the Graduate Management Office. An electronic copy of all application materials must also be sent to the accepting professor.

Required documents include: (1) Zhejiang University Admission Application Form; (2) "Two High" Doctoral Program Scholarship Application Form; (3) passport copy; (4) professor’s intention form for acceptance; (5) highest education certificate (original or notarised, with Chinese/English translation if needed); (6) transcripts (original or notarised, with translation); (7) language proficiency test results (HSK, TOEFL, or IELTS); (8) personal statement in Chinese or English; (9) two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors; (10) academic papers or achievements (if any); (11) bank remittance certificate for the RMB 400 application fee.
