Zhejiang University Scholarship—Two-High Doctoral Program

Overview

Application

Applicants must first contact and obtain provisional acceptance from a prospective ZJU supervisor. Then they must submit an online application via Zhejiang University’s International Students Online Application System and send all required documents to the Graduate Office of the International College by post or in person. A scanned copy of all application documents must also be emailed to the prospective supervisor.

Required documents are: (1) completed and signed Zhejiang University Admission Application Form; (2) completed and signed Two-High Doctoral Program Scholarship Application Form; (3) photocopy of valid passport; (4) Form for Provisional Acceptance of International Student by ZJU Professor; (5) highest degree certificate (original or notarised copy; pre-graduation certificate if still studying), with notarised Chinese or English translation if in another language; (6) academic transcripts (original or notarised copy), with notarised Chinese or English translation if in another language; (7) language proficiency certificate — HSK for Chinese-taught programmes, TOEFL or IELTS for English-taught programmes (not required for native English speakers); (8) personal statement in Chinese or English covering study/work experience, motivation, and study proposal; (9) two letters of recommendation from full or associate professors (excluding the ZJU supervisor), each including signature, phone number, and email address; (10) copies of published academic papers or other academic achievements (if any); (11) remittance receipt for the RMB 400 application fee.
