Zhengzhou University Presidential Scholarship

Overview

This scholarship supports international master’s and doctoral students at Zhengzhou University. Most programmes are taught in Chinese; some majors offer English-taught options (see http://international.zzu.edu.cn/).

Coverage

• Tuition waiver (including cultivation and management fees) • On-campus apartment accommodation • Monthly stipend of CNY 3,500 (confirm exact rate per category with Zhengzhou University) Not covered: registration fee, textbooks, thesis defence, medical check-up, medical insurance, clinic visits, residence permit, and other personal expenses. Stipend disbursement rules: full month if enrolled on or before the 15th; half month if enrolled after the 15th; graduating students receive payment through the 16th day after the scheduled graduation date; no stipend for absences exceeding 15 days (excluding official holidays).

Application

Submit via Zhengzhou University Online Application System: http://apply.zzu.edu.cn/ Admission results and packages are issued by late January (spring) or mid-July (autumn). Registration requires passport, Admission Letter, and JW202 form. Unauthorised departure or late return forfeits the scholarship. Annual review applies for awards longer than one year.

Documents

• Highest degree certificate (notarised); current students or employees must also submit proof of enrolment or employment • Master’s applicants: bachelor’s degree transcripts; doctoral applicants: bachelor’s and master’s transcripts • Master’s study plan (minimum 600 words); doctoral research proposal (minimum 1,000 words) • Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors (for master’s and doctoral applicants) • Art portfolio (for music or fine arts majors) • Chinese or English proficiency certificate • Foreigner Physical Examination Form and blood test reports • Certificate of no criminal record Non-Chinese or non-English documents require notarised Chinese or English translations.
