About Anhui Medical University

Anhui Medical University is a key provincial university and the medical school with the longest history in Anhui Province. It was founded in 1926. The university motto is “Study hard and try to practise, bring up excellent doctors,” and its ethos is described as seeking earnestness, proficiency, and creativity. It aims to develop as a teaching–research medical university. About 18,000 undergraduates study on two campuses. There are 25 teaching institutions, including the School of International Education, and undergraduate programs in 32 fields. The university is authorized for 3 post-doctoral research programs, doctoral degrees in 27 specialties, and master’s degrees in 74 specialties. It has 5 directly affiliated hospitals and 6 non-directly affiliated hospitals. In a recent five-year period it undertook 220 research programs under national “863,” “973,” and Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) schemes. Among provincial universities it has been a strong recipient of NSFC grants and is noted as the only provincial university to win a National Top 10 scientific and technological development honor. For international students, double rooms are available with bathroom, shower, air conditioner, TV, fridge, and internet. There is a Muslim canteen, public kitchen, and laundry room. Four classrooms were renovated for international education

1. English: Courses are taught in English. Applicants need strong English (mother tongue or second language English, or prior study in English), including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. 2. Education: High school graduates who passed English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology graduation exams, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology results above average. 3. Conduct and age: No adverse record. Age 18–30. Applicants under 18 must submit a guardianship authorization letter. 4. Health: Must be healthy and have passed a health check-up. 5. Finance: Must show sufficient funds for all MBBS fees. 6. Documents to submit: graduation certificate, exam result sheet, passport, and identity card

Founded in Beijing in 1958 and relocated to Hefei in the early 1970s, the University of Science and Technology of China operates under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Hefei University of Technology (HFUT) is in Hefei, capital of Anhui Province. It is a national key university under the Ministry of Education. Founded in 1945, it is part of Project 211 and a Program 985 innovation platform, and is included in the national “Double First Class” plan. HFUT is mainly an engineering-focused comprehensive university. Eleven disciplines are in the top 1% of ESI global rankings: Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Computer Science, Agricultural Science, Earth Sciences, Environment/Ecology, Social Sciences (General), Biology & Biochemistry, Physics, and Plant & Animal Science. Engineering science ranks in the top 1‰. There are about 33,200 undergraduate and 16,200 graduate students. The university motto is “pursuing virtue and knowledge, seeking truth and innovation.” It offers 20 first-level doctoral disciplines, 38 first-level master’s disciplines, and 84 undergraduate majors.
