Gansu Agricultural University

Lanzhou City University is a full-time undergraduate university approved by China’s Ministry of Education, located in Lanzhou, capital of Gansu Province. It has three campuses totaling 700.6 mu (about 116.8 acres), with 358,000 square meters of floor space and fixed assets of about RMB 310 million. Teaching equipment is valued at about RMB 56.8 million. The library holds about 638,000 print books, 153,000 e-books, and around 2,000 periodical subscriptions. Staff number about 1,156, including about 646 full-time teachers (395 professors and associate professors, 88 doctoral degree holders, and 413 master’s degree holders). There are 15 colleges and 10 institutes, plus units such as the Institute of Gansu Urban Development, the Training Center for Gansu Primary School Principals, and the Training Base for Professional and Technical Personnel in Gansu. About 55 specialties are offered at undergraduate and junior-college level across humanities, science, social science, management, and engineering, with roughly 13,000 full-time students. There are 25 laboratories and training centers (physics, chemistry, computer science, physical education, educational technology, and others). International partners named include institutions in Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Germany, Russia, Belarus, the UK, and Canada, plus long-term links with several Chinese normal universities and Hong Kong Open University. The university emphasizes urban-economy, urban-construction, urban-culture, and teacher-training related applied education for Gansu and northwest China

Lanzhou Jiaotong University (LZJTU), formerly Lanzhou Railway University, was founded in 1958 by combining departments from Tangshan Railway Institute (now Southwest Jiaotong University) and Beijing Railway Institute (now Beijing Jiaotong University). In April 2003 the Ministry of Education approved the name change to Lanzhou Jiaotong University. It is a comprehensive university with strength in engineering and programs in natural science, liberal arts, economics, and management. There are 3 campuses covering about 258 acres, 20 schools, 1 teaching department, and 4 postdoctoral research centers. Programs include 34 doctoral, 105 master’s, and 63 undergraduate programs, plus 19 provincial key disciplines, 2 national experimental teaching demonstration centers, and 1 national University Science and Technology District. Faculty: 2,277 educational professionals, including 1,455 full-time teachers and 786 professors/associate professors. Enrollment: over 30,000 total, including about 22,400 full-time undergraduates, 3,119 postgraduates, and over 20,595 continuing-education participants. More than 200 international students come from countries such as Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Korea, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana, Yemen, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Mongolia, Laos, Vietnam, Rwanda, and Sudan. The library holds about 2.22 million volumes

It was formed in June 2016 by merging Shanghai Lixin University of Commerce and Shanghai Finance University. Its roots go back to Lixin education founded by Dr. Pan Xulun in 1928. In 2022, the School of Business and Administration received five-year full AACSB accreditation. SLU has three campuses in Pudong, Songjiang, and Xuhui, covering more than 1,200 mu (about 800,000 square meters). It has more than 19,000 full-time students, including over 370 graduate students; 3 master’s degree programs and 40 undergraduate majors; more than 1,630 faculty and staff, including over 1,240 full-time teachers

Established in 1898 in Beijing, Peking University is China’s first national university. Its campus hosts five faculties—Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Medicine, and Information and Engineering—alongside 47 colleges and departments. The university offers over one hundred undergraduate programmes and more than five hundred graduate and doctoral programmes. Zhejiang University, founded in 1897 in Hangzhou, is one of China’s leading comprehensive research universities. Teaching and research span science, engineering, medicine, humanities, and social sciences. International students study across a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
