About Guizhou University

Guizhou University (GZU) is a key “211 Project” university jointly built by the Ministry of Education and the People’s Government of Guizhou Province. In 2012 it was listed among 14 universities in the Project for Improving Comprehensive Abilities of Midwestern Universities in China. Library: over 3.1 million regular books. Structure: 33 colleges; 136 undergraduate specialties across 11 branches including philosophy, economics, law, liberal arts, history, science, engineering, agriculture, and administration. Full-time enrollment: 55,121 students. Teaching staff: 4,003, of whom 2,714 are full-time teachers. International cooperation: relations with more than 140 academic institutions in over 40 countries and regions.

Enrollment: foreign students and overseas Chinese interested in Chinese language/culture or Chinese minorities’ culture; healthy; over 18 and under 60; willing to follow Chinese law and university rules. Procedures: 1) Obtain the Application Form for Enrollment of International Students by correspondence, email, fax, or phone. 2) Mail, email, or fax the filled form to the Foreign Affairs Department at least two months before school opens; application fee can be sent through banks. 3) Also submit: copy of valid passport front page; curriculum vitae; copy of latest educational certificate or diploma; 6 passport-size photos; health check reports from government-authorized hospitals with stamp.

The Institute for International Students handles international student enrollment at Nanjing University.
