Dongbei University of Finance and Economics was established in 1952 in Dalian, a coastal city in northeast China. It is a specialist university focused on finance, economics, and business disciplines, with over 20,000 students across its undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. Dalian Maritime University (DMU) was founded in 1909. It is a major maritime university and the only key maritime institution under China’s Ministry of Transport. It is recognized by the International Maritime Organization as a center for maritime education and training. Programs: 6 post-doctoral research centers, 6 primary-discipline doctoral programs, 32 subordinate-discipline doctoral programs, 18 primary-discipline master’s programs, 97 subordinate-discipline master’s programs, and 51 undergraduate programs. Dalian University of Technology (DUT) is a national key university under the Ministry of Education, in the coastal city of Dalian. It is strong in science and technology and also covers economics, management, applied liberal arts, foreign languages, and social sciences. It has a graduate school, 7 faculties, and 5 colleges, with about 32,000 full-time students. DUT has academic agreements with more than 120 higher education or research institutions in more than 20 countries and regions. The School of International Cultural Exchanges handles enrollment, teaching, and management of international students. About 6,000 students from 102 countries have studied at DUT for degrees or Chinese language training

Liaoning University is a comprehensive university covering Chinese language and literature, history, philosophy, economics, law, foreign languages, art, natural science, engineering, and management. It is a Project 211 key university under the Ministry of Education. The university has 25 colleges, 62 undergraduate majors, 160 master’s disciplines, and authority to award 62 doctorates. International students have been admitted since 1965, from more than 94 countries including the USA, Japan, Russia, Korea, Italy, the UK, and France. Over 8,000 long-term and 3,000 short-term international students have studied here; about 700 international students are on campus at a time

Shenyang University (SYU) is a public comprehensive university in central Shenyang, northeast China’s major city, with convenient transport links. Shenyang Jianzhu University (SJZU) is the only comprehensive university in Liaoning Province that prioritizes civil engineering and architecture while also covering engineering, arts, administration, natural science, agronomy, and law. The campus covers about 1 million square meters, with roughly 440,000 square meters of building space. Campus planning emphasizes human-centered design and balance between people and nature. A 756-meter corridor—described as the longest in Asia—links teaching, laboratory, living, and administration areas. SJZU has 17 schools and about 1,400 professional faculty, including nearly 400 professors and associate professors. Enrollment is about 16,000 undergraduates, postgraduates, and international students. Over the past 10 years, its graduate employment rate has ranked at the top among universities in Liaoning Province. Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Mechanical Engineering are provincial key subjects. Materials Science and Engineering is classed as a key subject with special advantage in Liaoning.
