Bachelor's in Applied Physics (Laser 3D Technology) at ZUST is an English-taught programme focused on laser 3D fundamentals with strong practical and creative training. The Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences at Westlake University is a four-year programme taught in English. Westlake offers full and partial tuition scholarships (see scholarships_summary). The programme covers modern biology including biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, developmental biology, and neurobiology. Students learn to use tools in genomics, proteomics, genome editing, and biomolecule design, and may pursue interdisciplinary study in these and related fields. All international undergraduates study Chinese for two or more years. After freshman and sophomore years, students spend a semester or full year abroad at partner institutions in North America, Australia, Europe, or Asia (examples named: UC Berkeley, Cornell University, UC San Diego, University of Edinburgh, University of Queensland, Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and others). After declaring a major in the sophomore year, students take major core courses and electives, plus experiential programmes, independent study, lab/theoretical research, and interdisciplinary work. Students may work in key laboratories with faculty mentors; undergraduates may take advanced graduate-level electives and choose from over 300 courses in science, engineering, and technology. A faculty-mentored capstone project culminates in a senior thesis.
Westlake University's Bachelor's in Chemistry trains students in the frameworks and experimental practice used to understand and manipulate matter at atomic and molecular scales.
