SJTU's Undergraduate Engineering Cluster gives students a shared engineering foundation across fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Materials Science. The first 1.5 years are taken at the University of Michigan–Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute, after which students may continue there or transfer to another engineering school. Chinese language and cultural study are part of the international experience.

The Bachelor's in Urban and Rural Planning at HIT is a four-year English-taught programme focused on sustainable development, urban design, and spatial planning. Students combine planning theory with applied studio and project work.

Business Chinese at East China Normal University in Shanghai is a non-degree track for intermediate and advanced learners who need Mandarin for work. CCSP at Fudan is a two-semester track for students with intermediate or higher Chinese who want deeper study of literature, customs, and contemporary social life. Experienced instructors guide cultural and societal exploration through Chinese-medium study.

CEBP at Fudan is a two-semester Chinese-taught programme on China’s economy and business practices, combining language development with commercial and cultural insight. International classmates add a global peer network on Fudan’s Shanghai campus.

Peking University’s Chinese for HSK 1–6 pathway is a fully online specialisation that builds conversation, listening, reading, writing, and basic character knowledge from beginner through advanced HSK levels Completing a level yields a shareable certificate.

Jilin University’s Chinese Language and Culture Program offers about one to two semesters of Mandarin and cultural study. International students join a large comprehensive university community in Changchun.

SJTU’s part-time Chinese language pathway spans one semester for learners who already hold about HSK 4. Classes deepen Mandarin listening, speaking, reading, and writing while fitting around other commitments in Shanghai.

Beijing Normal University’s Chinese Language Program offers about one to two semesters of Mandarin study. International students learn on a leading Beijing teacher-education and research campus without enrolling in a degree.

SJTU’s long-term Chinese Language Program is a one- to two-semester immersion for learners aged 18 to 55. Practical Mandarin and cultural understanding are the focus for study, work, or personal goals in Shanghai.

Renmin University’s Chinese Language Program places students by placement test into suitable levels for one or two semesters of Mandarin training in Beijing. Classes cover multiple proficiency bands so beginners through advanced learners can progress at the right pace.

Tongji’s Chinese Language Program serves all proficiency levels with comprehensive Chinese, listening, conversation, and writing, plus options such as Business Chinese. Small-class teaching and activities like Tai Chi and calligraphy add cultural practice in Shanghai.

NWPU’s two-semester Chinese Language Program builds conversational Mandarin, cultural awareness, and practical language use on Xi’an’s research campus. Campus life and cultural activities support progress beyond classroom drills.

UESTC’s Chinese as a foreign language programme in Chengdu offers beginner through advanced Mandarin and culture courses across spring (February–June) and autumn (September–December) semesters. After a placement evaluation, students take 16–20 class hours weekly over 16 weeks, plus cultural visits; completers who pass exams receive a university certificate.

Tsinghua’s one-semester Chinese Language Program combines mandatory and elective courses across proficiency levels to strengthen speaking, listening, reading, and writing. International students study Mandarin on Tsinghua’s Beijing campus with cultural engagement built into the experience.

Beijing Institute of Technology’s Chinese Language Program serves international students in Beijing with structured Mandarin study on a major research-university campus. Learners join a non-degree language pathway designed for everyday communication and further academic preparation.

Sichuan University’s Chinese Language Program provides one to two semesters of Mandarin study for international students. Learning takes place in Chengdu on a major comprehensive university campus.

PKU’s full-time Chinese Language Studies Program offers multi-level instruction with interactive classes and cultural activities. Completing the programme yields a certificate and official transcript for one to two semesters of study.

Peking University’s Chinese Language Summer School runs for about four to eight weeks with level-based Mandarin instruction and cultural exchange. Short-term learners practise language skills while experiencing campus life in Beijing.

USTC’s short-term Chinese Language Training Program focuses on practical speaking, listening, reading, and writing within about one semester on Hefei’s science-focused campus. Cultural exploration accompanies language study for personal or professional use.

This one-semester HIT course strengthens Mandarin speaking, reading, listening, and writing, with options such as Business Chinese and Chinese Culture by level. Experienced instructors and a structured curriculum lead to a completion certificate you can use for further study or career plans.
