Chinese Government Scholarship (Guizhou University Program)

The Chinese Government Scholarship (Guizhou University Program) is a full CSC-funded award for master’s (3 years) and doctoral (4 years) study at Guizhou University. It covers tuition, dormitory, monthly stipend, and medical insurance. Teaching is in Chinese; applicants without prior Chinese study may include a 1-year language preparatory phase, but must reach HSK Level 4 before starting degree courses.

Overview

The Chinese Government Scholarship (Guizhou University Program) is a full scholarship funded by the Chinese government for international students pursuing master’s or doctoral degrees at Guizhou University. It does not support undergraduate or short-term exchange programmes.

Duration and language

Master’s programmes last 3 academic years; doctoral programmes last 4 academic years. All instruction is in Chinese. Applicants without prior Chinese study may apply for a 1-year Chinese language preparatory programme as part of the scholarship. All recipients must achieve HSK Level 4 before commencing degree coursework. The total scholarship duration includes both language and degree study periods.

Application

Applicants must complete the online application via the China Scholarship Council (CSC) system at www.csc.edu.cn/laihua or www.campuschina.org. Select Programme Category B and enter Guizhou University’s Agency Number: 10657. After submission, print two hard copies of the Application Form. Two photocopies of all supporting documents must be mailed to Guizhou University. Materials must arrive before the deadline of 20 April. Guizhou University may conduct interviews or request additional information. Final results are typically confirmed in July, followed by issuance of enrolment documents.
