About Huangshan University

Huangshan University is an undergraduate university of applied science in southern Anhui, on the south bank of the Xin’an River at the foot of Huangshan Mountain, in a region shaped by Huizhou culture. It developed from Huizhou Normal College into a comprehensive university. After more than 30 years of growth, it has 16 schools and 2 departments and offers 57 undergraduate majors, enrolling students from 18 provinces of China. Full-time undergraduate enrollment is about 18,000. The university reports 2 National Characteristic Construction Specialties, 5 Provincial Characteristic Construction Specialties, 4 Provincial Experimental Training Centers, 5 Provincial Experimental Model Zones for Talent Cultivation and Innovation, and 4 provincial education teams / superior talent training projects. About 76.9% of faculty hold master’s or PhD degrees. The campus covers about 1,800 acres with roughly 380,000 square meters of buildings

Anhui University of Technology (AHUT) was founded in 1958. Its main focus is engineering, with programs also in science, humanities, economics, management, law, and arts. The university is in Ma’anshan, Anhui Province (a National Garden City). High-speed rail takes about 18 minutes to Nanjing and about 120 minutes to Shanghai. Ma’anshan sits by the Yangtze River and has a strong iron and steel industry. Anhui Medical University is a key provincial university and the medical school with the longest history in Anhui Province. It was founded in 1926. The university motto is “Study hard and try to practise, bring up excellent doctors,” and its ethos is described as seeking earnestness, proficiency, and creativity. It aims to develop as a teaching–research medical university. About 18,000 undergraduates study on two campuses. There are 25 teaching institutions, including the School of International Education, and undergraduate programs in 32 fields. The university is authorized for 3 post-doctoral research programs, doctoral degrees in 27 specialties, and master’s degrees in 74 specialties. It has 5 directly affiliated hospitals and 6 non-directly affiliated hospitals. In a recent five-year period it undertook 220 research programs under national “863,” “973,” and Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) schemes. Among provincial universities it has been a strong recipient of NSFC grants and is noted as the only provincial university to win a National Top 10 scientific and technological development honor. Founded in Beijing in 1958 and relocated to Hefei in the early 1970s, the University of Science and Technology of China operates under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Its academic structure integrates teaching with CAS research institutes across disciplines including mathematics, physics, chemistry, and nuclear science and technology. The university hosts 20 schools and 30 departments, with additional facilities in Nanjing, Shanghai, Suzhou, Shenyang, and Changchun. It maintains over 50 laboratories and research centres, among them the National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory and the Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at the Microscale. Hefei University of Technology (HFUT) is in Hefei, capital of Anhui Province. It is a national key university under the Ministry of Education. Founded in 1945, it is part of Project 211 and a Program 985 innovation platform, and is included in the national “Double First Class” plan. HFUT is mainly an engineering-focused comprehensive university. Eleven disciplines are in the top 1% of ESI global rankings: Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Computer Science, Agricultural Science, Earth Sciences, Environment/Ecology, Social Sciences (General), Biology & Biochemistry, Physics, and Plant & Animal Science.
