Bohai University (BU) is a comprehensive university under the Liaoning Province government, located in Jinzhou, a coastal city in Liaoning Province, China. The campus covers about 1,500 Chinese mu (about 1,000,000 square meters), with floor area over 520,000 square meters. There are 16 colleges offering 44 bachelor’s programs and 10 associate-degree programs. Graduate offerings include 16 Level-1 master’s programs, 71 Level-2 master’s programs, and 5 professional master’s programs, spanning philosophy, economics, law, education, humanities, history, science, engineering, management, and arts. More than 25,000 postgraduates and full-time college students are enrolled. There are about 1,200 professional teachers, including about 200 professors and 400 doctoral degree holders. Nearly 100 teachers hold province- or state-level titles (including Changjiang Scholars and other national or Liaoning talent designations)

Jinzhou Medical University (JZMU) is in the coastal city of Jinzhou and is authorized by China’s Ministry of Education to offer MBBS in English. It cooperates with universities in the US, UK, Russia, Australia, and elsewhere. About 1,000 international students from nearly 40 countries study there, ranking third in the province for international degree students. JZMU passed the Ministry of Education undergraduate teaching evaluation in 2007, gained Chinese Government Scholarship eligibility in 2014, and passed MOE evaluation for English-medium MBBS teaching in 2013. It is recognized by WHO and ECFMG and was listed in Avicenna Medical Schools in 2006. Campus: nearly 1 million square meters.
